How Academia da Língua Portuguesa handles the personal data of those who contact it through the website.

Privacy Policy

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Academia da Língua Portuguesa (ALP), based at Rua Comandante N'zaji nº57, Alvalade, Luanda, Angola.

For any question about personal data, write to geral@academialp.ao.

What data we collect and why

We only collect the data you send us in the proposal request form: name, company or institution, job title, e-mail, telephone, number of people to train, areas of interest, preferred format and your message.

We use it only to reply to your request and prepare a training proposal. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it or pass it to third parties.

Our legal basis

Processing is based on your consent, which you give by ticking the box in the form, and on the steps you ask us to take before a possible contract (the proposal).

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us, without affecting the processing already carried out.

How long we keep it

We keep your request and our reply while we work on the proposal and, if no contract follows, for a maximum of 24 months. If there is a contract, we keep them for as long as the law requires.

Who has access

The data reaches the academy's mailbox and is stored on the server where the website is hosted, by the hosting provider (webserver.pt). That provider processes it on our behalf and may not use it for other purposes.

Cookies and third-party services

This website does not place cookies on your device, does not use analytics or advertising tools, and does not load fonts, videos or scripts from third-party servers.

The links to WhatsApp and Instagram take you to those services' websites, which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You may ask us for access to your data, correction, erasure, to object to processing, to restrict it and, where applicable, portability. Just write to geral@academialp.ao; we reply within the period set by law.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with Angola's Data Protection Agency (APD) or, if you are in the European Union, with the data protection authority of your country.

Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (https), a firewall and protected administration access. No system is completely secure; if a data breach affects you, we will inform you as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date of the latest version is at the end of this page.
